so friendly

so much fun to be
     around
using all the charm
     which you possessed
     (which wasn't much)

all of this
     in service of
the lining up of
     a place
          to be

and you think I haven't
     heard it before

"just let me move in"
"I won't be any trouble"
"I also won't pay any rent"
"or do any work"

     so sweet and kind

but for my roof
which doesn't leak
anymore
-for which "I" paid $$$!!!

shower, my heater,
and a convenient address
     at which to receive
     any correspondence
     deemed necessary
     to your vagabond
          existence

conciliatory

with all your concern
